PMP Final Test Preparation - Test Format

Welcome to "PMP Made Easy".

This blog is created to help PMP candidates pursuing to take final PMP test to adorn their profile with a PMP badge.

In this post, I am going to detail the final test format. Final test is formatted on "Process Group" basis but not on "Knowledge Area" basis. This format is based on PMBOK 5th Edition while test format is going to be revised by 1st Quarter of 2018.

 Let us start with today's. 

 Type of Test :: Multiple Choice
Total No. of Questions: 200
Duration of the Test: 04 Hours (240 Min)
Stipulated Time for SINGLE Question: 1.2 Minutes
No. of Un-scored Questions: 25 (undisclosed)
No. of Scored Question: 175

 Note: No breaks are scheduled during the exam. If you need the break, your timer will keep ticking !!!
Initiating PG : 13 % Questions (~26 Q) asked for 08 Tasks

 Planning PG : 24 % Questions (~48 Q) asked for 13 Tasks

 Executing PG : 31 % Questions (~60 Q) asked for 07 Tasks

 Monitoring & Controlling PG : 25 % Questions (~50 Q) asked for 07 Tasks

 Closing PG : 07 % Questions (~16 Q) asked for 07 Tasks

PMP Final Test Preparation - DO's and DONT's

In this post, I am going to list some DO's and DONT's which are important to be adhered to, before starting the final test. Let us start with today's.  DO No. 01 Always read full statement of the question very carefully. If you are unable to understand what question is asking about, re-read the statement. Make sure you do it within recommended time for a single question that means 1.2 minutes. DO No. 02 Skip the question if you are unable to answer that after reading the statement, twice.
